Everything here is chosen to live outside permanently, through heat, frost and salt air, rather than to look good for one summer.
Greenhouses from Winter Gardenz, polycarbonate or toughened glass in black aluminium. Water features from Aquascape, all recirculating, so there is no open pond to fence or net. Concrete planters and coffee tables from Blinde Design, heavy enough to stay where you put them.
A greenhouse traps heat and holds humidity, so it extends the growing season at both ends. A shade house does the opposite, cutting light and heat to protect plants through summer. In most Australian gardens the greenhouse is the one that changes what you can grow.
The pondless kits do not. Top up the reservoir in hot weather and rinse the pump screen every few months. There is no pond to skim, no fish to feed and no chemistry to balance.
Not the ones we range. They are cast for outdoor use and cure to a density that handles frost and heat. What does crack them is water sitting in the base over winter, so keep the drainage hole clear.
Width decides the layout. A 6ft width takes a single bench, 8ft gives benches down both sides with a path between, then 10ft leaves room for potting and taller crops. Length is easier to change your mind about later than width.
