Buschbeck Rondo: standalone or the Pizza Oven Kit

If you want fire and BBQ only, the standalone Buschbeck Rondo (from $2,799) has everything you need. If you want to bake pizza too, the Buschbeck Rondo Outdoor Fireplace & Pizza Oven Kit (from $3,649) adds the pizza insert and tools in one order, rather than buying the accessories separately later.

Buschbeck is a German manufacturer of masonry BBQ and outdoor fireplaces, distributed across Australia and New Zealand by Riverlea Group, who have been marketing outdoor products throughout Australasia since 1991. The Rondo is Buschbeck's 3-in-1 design: an outdoor fireplace, a charcoal or wood fired BBQ, and, with the Pizza Oven Kit, a wood fired pizza oven, all in one quartz concrete structure in White, Grey or Mocha.

Which to choose

Buying the pizza kit later means sourcing the insert and tools separately; buying it with the fireplace means one delivery and everything set up to go.

Buschbeck Rondo: 3-in-1 BBQ, fire and pizza oven

The Rondo is a twin skin quartz concrete masonry structure. The gap between the inner firebox and outer shell keeps the outside cooler while the fire burns hot inside, the same construction principle Buschbeck uses across its range. It burns charcoal or firewood, so there is no gas connection and no flue to install; the built-in chimney handles the draw. Weighing around 510 kg, it ships palletised and sits freestanding once placed.

Standard, the chrome cooking grill turns it into a proper charcoal or wood fired BBQ. With the Pizza Oven Kit, the stone-based pizza insert slides in over the coals for wood fired pizza, backed by the base extension, infrared thermometer and pizza tools. Every Rondo, standalone or kit, carries a 2 year warranty and is available in White, Grey or Mocha.
