The owner's insights on the St Moritz
We find St Moritz buyers are choosing it for a different reason to the Rondo. The arched chimney and two-tone stonework read more European farmhouse than the Rondo's cleaner lines.
It's the same twin skin construction underneath. Charcoal to start, logs once everyone's settled in.
The copper mantle insert is real copper, not a coating. It'll develop its own patina over time rather than staying showroom-shiny, which is part of the appeal for most buyers.
Buschbeck's pizza oven insert is listed as suitable for all their models, St Moritz included, even though it's sold as a separate accessory rather than bundled in here.
It still arrives palletised in sectional pieces, so plan for two to three people and about an hour to put it together.

Why you'll love the St Moritz
A two-tone finish with real character
White and brown quartz granite with a real copper mantle insert that develops its own patina over time.
Stays cool to touch
The twin skin build keeps the outer wall safe to lean against, even with the firebox running hot.
Burns what you've got
Charcoal for a quick sear tonight, logs once you're settled in for the evening.
Independently safety tested
TÜV tested and GS marked, so you're not just taking a spec sheet claim on faith.
Pizza-ready if you want it
Buschbeck's pizza insert is listed as compatible with every model, St Moritz included.
Looks after itself
A hose and brush or a jet wash is the only maintenance you'll ever need.
Why you should consider a Buschbeck outdoor fireplace
Buschbeck precasts every fireplace in its own factory in Waldbröl, Germany. The quartzite concrete formula is unique to the brand; every component is steel-reinforced, with no painting or plastering needed.

Frequently asked questions
What makes the St Moritz different from the Rondo?
The St Moritz has an arched chimney and a fixed two-tone white and brown finish with a real copper mantle, giving it a more traditional look. The Rondo comes in White, Grey or Mocha with a rounder silhouette.
Can I add a pizza oven insert to the St Moritz?
Yes. Buschbeck's pizza oven insert is listed as suitable for all their models, St Moritz included. It's sold separately for $399 rather than bundled with this unit.
Does the St Moritz need a flue?
Not for a freestanding St Moritz out in the open, which is how most are installed. Sitting it under a covered patio or deck roof generally calls for a flue to clear the covering safely. Talk to us about your clearance before you order.
What is the copper mantle insert made from?
Real industrial copper, not a coating. Buschbeck notes it may show minor indentations, scratches or tarnishing from the manufacturing process, which is normal for a natural material and part of how it ages.
How many people do you need to assemble it?
Buschbeck recommends two to three people for around an hour. It ships in roughly ten sections on a pallet, heavy enough that you'll want the extra hands on delivery day.
What fuel does the St Moritz burn?
Charcoal or lump wood briquettes for barbecuing, or logs and firewood once you want it as a fireplace instead. The double skinned construction handles both without any changes.
Is the St Moritz covered by a warranty?
Yes. Buschbeck's warranty runs for 2 years from purchase. It covers major structural defects from manufacture that stop the fireplace being used as intended. It excludes damage from excessive heat, overloading and normal wear and tear. If anything needs attention, you deal with My Acre, not the maker.
Is it normal for small cracks to appear?
Yes. Buschbeck say small hairline cracks are normal and non-structural. They open slightly when the fire is hot and close again as it cools, without affecting how it works. Buschbeck recommend a cover through autumn and winter to keep water out.
Where does the pallet get left?
At your address. It comes on one shrink-wrapped pallet of around ten sections, up to 600 kg in total. The carrier is not obliged to move it any closer to where it will stand. The heaviest section is about 80 kg, so line up two or three people to carry the pieces into place.
