Buying guide
Choose an outdoor planter by size, material and drainage. Size it to the plant's mature root ball and the spot it will anchor, choose a material that stays put and lasts (cast concrete is heavy, stable and UV-resistant), and make sure it drains. My Acre ranges Blinde Design, cast from a concrete composite that reads as solid stone but is lighter to position, in sizes from a compact 25 up to a statement 125.
The Blinde Classic range steps up in size from courtyard herbs to a feature tree, alongside the corded Stitch pots for a touch of colour, finished in Bone, Natural and Graphite.

From a specialist range built for the job, rather than a hardware bargain bin. The Blinde Design Classic range goes up to a 125, cast in a concrete composite that holds its shape and finish outdoors, where cheap plastic or thin fibreglass fades and cracks.
Yes. Concrete is heavy and stable, so a tall planter will not blow over; it resists UV and weather far better than plastic. Blinde uses a lighter concrete composite that keeps that durability while being easier to position.
Yes. A planter needs a drainage hole and a layer of gravel or pot feet so roots do not sit in water, which causes root rot. Check the drainage detail on each product page and keep the hole clear.
Match the planter to the plant's mature size and the space it anchors. Herbs and small shrubs suit a 25 to 50; a feature shrub a 50 to 75; a small tree or a grand entrance statement a 100 to 125. A too-small pot stunts the plant and topples more easily.
