The owner's insights on the Revolution 4 Burner

This is the gas-only member of the Revolution family. It is also the one most people actually need. Four burners at 10.3 MJ each plus a 14.3 MJ side burner give you 55.5 MJ, which is more total output than the dual fuel model carries. All of it goes into gas, where most weeknight cooking happens.

The cooking surface is split rather than uniform. Roughly one third is hotplate, carrying a smooth side and a ridged side; the other two thirds is open grill grate. That split is the difference between cooking eggs and onions properly and balancing a pan on a grate. The grates are double-stacked, which holds heat better and channels the fat forward into a removable grease cup rather than down onto the burners.

The side burner is the part people underestimate. It takes a pot, which means a sauce or a pan of prawns never has to go back to the indoor stove. On a night with ten people outside, that one burner is what keeps the cook out there with everyone else.

Three configurations share this page, in either finish. Sink only is the shortest run at 2,129mm and the cheapest way in. Storage and fridge, or sink and fridge, take you to 2,824mm. At 1,434mm the barbecue is around 100mm narrower than the dual fuel unit, so it suits a courtyard where wall length is tight. If you want charcoal as well as gas, the Revolution Dual Fuel is the model to look at instead.

Why you'll love the Revolution 4 Burner

More heat than the dual fuel

55.5 MJ across four main burners and a side burner, all of it available on gas, against 46.2 MJ split across two fuels on the dual fuel model.

A burner for the pot

The 14.3 MJ side burner takes a saucepan or a pan, so sauces, prawns and sides get cooked outside instead of pulling you back to the indoor stove.

Hotplate and grill on one surface

One third hotplate with a smooth side and a ridged side, two thirds open grate. Breakfast and a barbecue both work without swapping anything out.

Fewer ruined dinners

Flare-Free Technology captures and removes around 75% of rendering grease into a removable front cup before it can reach the burners and cause a flare-up.

Cold drinks stay outside

The 70 litre tropical-grade fridge module holds three shelves of cans and bottles at the bench, so nobody walks back to the house mid-conversation.

Fits a tighter courtyard

At 1,434mm the barbecue is around 100mm narrower than the dual fuel unit. It also needs no rear clearance for a charcoal lid, so the run can sit closer to a wall.

Why you should consider a Coleman outdoor kitchen

Coleman has been building outdoor cooking equipment since 1900. The Revolution and Pro Series ranges are its modular answer for Australian courtyards: 304-grade stainless steel bench tops, a five year warranty on the barbecue and the cabinetry, and a module system that lets a kitchen be built in stages rather than all at once. Buy yours through My Acre and we will beat any genuine like-for-like price you find elsewhere. We quote your delivery to your address before you commit, so there is no freight surprise at checkout. If a warranty question ever comes up, you are calling us directly, not an overseas call centre.

Talk it through before you order

Send us the width of your wall and we will confirm the run fits, plus whether the 4 burner or the dual fuel suits how you actually cook.

Planning the run for your space

The barbecue measures 1,434mm wide and 607mm deep. Each module is 695mm wide and 703mm deep, so a barbecue with one module takes 2,129mm of wall and a barbecue with two takes 2,824mm. Bench height sits at 924mm across the modules, with the sink module taller at 1,214mm to carry the tap.

Unlike the dual fuel model there is no charcoal lid to swing back, so the run can sit closer to a wall. Take your own measurement before ordering and call us with it; we will confirm the fit rather than leave you to work it out. Compare footprints across the outdoor kitchen range.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from the Dual Fuel model?

The 4 Burner is gas only, with more total output at 55.5 MJ and a built-in side burner. The Dual Fuel trades the side burner for a full charcoal kettle alongside the gas grill, at 46.2 MJ. The 4 Burner barbecue is also around 100mm narrower.

Which configuration should I choose?

Sink only is the shortest run and the cheapest way in. Storage and fridge suits anyone who wants cold drinks and a closed cupboard for the gas bottle. Sink and fridge suits anyone who would rather rinse and prep outside than store things there.

What is the cooking surface made up of?

Roughly one third is hotplate, carrying a smooth side and a ridged side; the other two thirds is open grill grate. The grates are double-stacked, which holds more heat and directs fat forward into a removable grease cup.

What can I use the side burner for?

It takes a saucepan or a frying pan across a 924 cm² surface at 14.3 MJ, so sauces, sides and seafood can be cooked outside rather than on the indoor stove.

What gas does it run on?

ULPG, the bottled LPG sold at any service station or hardware store. The storage module is where most owners keep the bottle.

What does Flare-Free Technology actually do?

It captures and removes around 75% of the grease that renders out while you cook, channelling it into a removable front cup before it can drip onto the burners. Less grease reaching the flame means fewer flare-ups and fewer hot spots.

How big is the fridge?

70 litres net, with three shelves sized for cans and bottles. It is a tropical climate grade unit running on R600a refrigerant, which is the low global warming potential option.

What exactly does the warranty cover?

Five years on the barbecue and the cabinet modules, one year on the fridge unit itself. My Acre handles any warranty claim on your behalf, so you deal with us rather than chasing the manufacturer.

How much wall do I need?

Between 2,129mm and 2,824mm depending on how many modules you take, at 703mm deep. Call us with your measurement and we will confirm the fit before you order.

Review of Polito pizza ovens

I recently bought a Polito pizza oven from my acre. I was looking to replace an older outdated oven in my outdoor kitchen, which had started to fall apart after a few years cooking for the Boiz. I wasn't super stoked at first to spend this much on a pizza oven, but suppliers in NSW are hard to come by and Hayden was super helpful with organising getting it to me. I certainly wasn't upset when it arrived! I dont think I'll have to replace it any time soon

Reply from My Acre

Thankyou so much for the purchase & nice words Phil! So glad we could help!
