Witt · Pizza Ovens

The owner's insights on the Piccolo Rotante 16"

The Piccolo Rotante 16" solves a specific problem: you want a full 16 inch pizza but you do not have the bench space for the Etna. Witt took the compact Piccolo body and opened it up to take the larger base.

It keeps the C-shaped burner and the rotating stone, so the base colours evenly without you turning it. From cold it reaches 500°C in about fifteen minutes. Pizzas come out in sixty to ninety seconds depending on how you have built them.

The double-layered insulation is doing more work than the spec sheet suggests. It holds temperature between pizzas, which is what stops the third one being noticeably worse than the first. It also keeps the outside cooler to stand beside.

It runs on LPG only. There is no natural gas version, so if your alfresco is plumbed for natural gas this is not the oven for you.

Why you'll love the Piccolo Rotante 16"

A 16 inch base in a small body

650 mm across but sized for a full family pizza, so you are not choosing between size and space.

Stop turning the pizza

The rotating stone gives even colour around the whole base without you working the peel.

Fifteen minutes to 500°C

Ready before the dough is stretched, from cold.

Holds its heat between pizzas

Double-layered insulation keeps the chamber steady, so the third pizza matches the first.

Switch styles, not ovens

High heat for Neapolitan, lower for Roman or New York, on the same oven.

Nothing else to buy to start

The gas regulator is in the box. Connect an LPG bottle and light it.

Why you should consider a Witt pizza oven

Aluvy build in Isère, in south-eastern France. Every piece carries Origine France Garantie certification, which is an audited mark rather than a marketing line. We hold a price beat on the range: find the same model advertised for less by an Australian seller and we will beat that price. We deliver free anywhere in Australia and check in with you within a week of it landing. If anything ever goes wrong we handle the warranty claim for you. You call us on an Australian number, not an overseas call centre.

This one sits between the other two, so it is the hardest to pick from photographs. Call and we will size it against your bench.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between this and the Piccolo 13 inch?

Size. This one takes a full 16 inch base where the 13 inch is sized for 30.5 cm. Both use the same C-shaped burner and the same rotating stone.

What is the difference between this and the Etna Rotante?

The Etna adds a second burner underneath the stone that reheats it while you cook, which suits back-to-back pizzas for a crowd. This one is smaller and lighter without that booster.

Can I run it on natural gas?

No. It is built for LPG only and there is no natural gas conversion.

How long does a pizza take?

Sixty to ninety seconds once the oven is at temperature, depending on how thick the base is and how heavily it is topped.

Can I cook styles other than Neapolitan?

Yes. Run it hot for Neapolitan or bring the temperature down for Roman and New York styles, which need longer and gentler heat.

Is the regulator included?

Yes, a gas regulator comes in the box. You supply the LPG bottle.

What warranty does it come with?

Witt give a two year manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. We handle the claim for you rather than sending you to the maker. It does not cover normal wear such as discolouration, tarnishing or rust, damage caused by non-original spare parts, or faults from not following the manual. The pizza stone is treated as a consumable: store it somewhere dry once the oven has cooled, because leaving it in the oven over time makes it brittle. Salt air and pool chemicals are excluded, so a cover is worth having near the coast.

Does it come in other colours?

We stock it in Black. Witt make a Green version that our distributor does not currently hold; ask us if you want us to chase it.

Review of Polito pizza ovens

I recently bought a Polito pizza oven from my acre. I was looking to replace an older outdated oven in my outdoor kitchen, which had started to fall apart after a few years cooking for the Boiz. I wasn't super stoked at first to spend this much on a pizza oven, but suppliers in NSW are hard to come by and Hayden was super helpful with organising getting it to me. I certainly wasn't upset when it arrived! I dont think I'll have to replace it any time soon

Reply from My Acre

Thankyou so much for the purchase & nice words Phil! So glad we could help!

It is evident they take pride in their business and customer satisfaction is their priority. I would definitely purchase from My Acre again and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.
