Witt · Pizza Ovens

The owner's insights on the Piccolo Rotante 13"

This is the Witt for people who do not have room for the Etna. At 19 kg and 48 cm wide it fits on a balcony rail table, in the boot of a car, or on a camp bench. It still has the rotating stone that makes the range worth buying.

The stone turns while it cooks, so a 13 inch base colours evenly without you working it around with a peel. It reaches 500°C in about fifteen minutes and turns a pizza out in ninety seconds, the same as its larger siblings.

The newer Piccolo has a removable stone shelf, which sounds minor until you have tried to clean burnt semolina out of a fixed oven cavity. It lifts out.

Two limits worth knowing. It runs on LPG only. Thirteen inches is 30.5 cm, which is a generous personal pizza rather than a family one. If you want 16 inch bases in a body this size, the Piccolo Rotante 16" is the one.

Why you'll love the Piccolo Rotante 13"

Fits where the big ovens do not

48 cm wide and 19 kg, so a balcony, a small courtyard or a camp table all work.

Stop turning the pizza

The rotating stone gives even colour around the whole base without you chasing it with a peel.

Fifteen minutes to 500°C

Light it when people arrive and it is ready before the dough is stretched.

Clean it without the fight

The pizza stone lifts out on a removable shelf, so the cavity can actually be cleaned.

Take it with you

Light enough for one person to carry and load into a car for a weekend away.

Nothing else to buy to start

The gas regulator is in the box. Connect an LPG bottle and light it.

Why you should consider a Witt pizza oven

Aluvy build in Isère, in south-eastern France. Every piece carries Origine France Garantie certification, which is an audited mark rather than a marketing line. We hold a price beat on the range: find the same model advertised for less by an Australian seller and we will beat that price. We deliver free anywhere in Australia and check in with you within a week of it landing. If anything ever goes wrong we handle the warranty claim for you. You call us on an Australian number, not an overseas call centre.

Talk it through before you order

Thirteen inches suits two people comfortably. If you are regularly feeding four or more, call us before you settle on this one.

Frequently asked questions

How big a pizza does the Piccolo 13 take?

Up to 13 inches, which is 30.5 cm. That is a generous personal pizza. For a family-sized base look at the Piccolo Rotante 16 inch or the Etna Rotante.

Can I really take it camping?

It weighs 19 kg and measures 48 cm across, so one person can carry it and it fits in a boot. It still needs an LPG bottle and a level surface. Like every gas oven, it must be used outdoors.

Can I run it on natural gas?

No. The Piccolo is built for LPG only and there is no natural gas conversion.

Does the stone really rotate?

Yes. The stone turns while the oven cooks, which colours the base evenly without you needing to turn the pizza by hand.

How do I clean it?

The stone sits on a removable shelf that lifts out, so you can clear the cavity properly rather than scraping around a fixed floor.

Is the regulator included?

Yes, a gas regulator comes in the box. You supply the LPG bottle.

How is it different from the Etna Rotante?

The Etna is larger at 29.8 kg and takes a 16 inch base. It also adds a booster burner under the stone for cooking pizzas back to back. The Piccolo is the compact one.

What warranty does it come with?

Witt give a two year manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. We handle the claim for you rather than sending you to the maker. It does not cover normal wear such as discolouration, tarnishing or rust, damage caused by non-original spare parts, or faults from not following the manual. The pizza stone is treated as a consumable: store it somewhere dry once the oven has cooled, because leaving it in the oven over time makes it brittle. Salt air and pool chemicals are excluded, so a cover is worth having near the coast.

What is the difference between the 13 inch and the 16 inch Piccolo?

Only the size of the base it takes, plus the body around it. Both use the same C-shaped burner and rotating stone.

Review of Polito pizza ovens

I recently bought a Polito pizza oven from my acre. I was looking to replace an older outdated oven in my outdoor kitchen, which had started to fall apart after a few years cooking for the Boiz. I wasn't super stoked at first to spend this much on a pizza oven, but suppliers in NSW are hard to come by and Hayden was super helpful with organising getting it to me. I certainly wasn't upset when it arrived! I dont think I'll have to replace it any time soon

Reply from My Acre

Thankyou so much for the purchase & nice words Phil! So glad we could help!

I recently made a purchase from My Acre and was very pleased with the whole process, from their user friendly website through to their delivery time frame and after purchase customer service. It is evident they take pride in their business and customer satisfaction is their priority. I would definitely purchase from My Acre again and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.
