Can the EcoSmart Stix be used indoors?
EcoSmart classifies the Stix application as outdoor. Bioethanol burns cleanly with no smoke, soot, ash or flue, and EcoSmart references a 40 m³ minimum room volume for the AB3 burner. Confirm intended indoor use with My Acre on 1300 515 620 before purchase; no gas line or chimney is required either way.
How much space does the Stix heat?
The Stix heats on average 20 m² and produces 2 kW (6.12 MJ/h). It is a calm, contained flame for atmosphere and conversation, not primary heating. For 60 m² zones, step up to a 6 kW AB8 model such as the Pod 30.
What does the Stix cost to run per hour?
About $1.86 to $2.05 per hour at full flame on e-NRG bioethanol at $6.00 to $6.60 per litre delivered, or roughly $1 per hour on a low setting. A full 2.5 L fill costs about $15 to $16.50 delivered.
Does the Stix need professional installation?
No installation is required. The Stix is freestanding at 23.14 kg with no gas, electrical or plumbing connection. Outdoors, EcoSmart specifies a level, non-combustible base, 2,000 mm overhead clearance and 600 mm from fixed objects. Never refuel while the burner is hot; allow at least 60 minutes to cool.
Can multiple Stix units be grouped together?
Yes. Two, three or more units work well as a fire feature wall or a line of fire along a terrace or pool edge. The repeating tubular geometry reads as a deliberate pattern in a way most fire pits do not.
