The Pod 30 is the compact pot in EcoSmart's Pod line, a 762 mm round bowl in cast Fluid Concrete standing 351 mm tall. It runs the AB8 burner, the same 6 kW output as the larger Pod 40, so you get full-size heat from a body that still fits a balcony corner.
It's also the more flexible of the two Pods for placement. Bioethanol burns with no smoke, soot or ash, so it's rated for both outdoor and indoor use, indoors needing a room of at least 116 m³ with the Indoor Safety Tray and AB8 Efficiency Ring fitted. We put these on balconies, courtyards and smaller patios and terraces where a taller silhouette suits the space better than a low, wide bowl.
If your space is larger, a pool terrace or an open courtyard that can carry more scale, the Pod 40 takes the same burner into a 1,000 mm body, 504 mm tall, for more presence. And if you'd rather a low, plate-like flame than a taller pot, the Mix 850 gives you that shape on a wider, shallower bowl.
Fuel is e-NRG bioethanol, sold separately, so add a carton to your order and we'll ship it with the pit, with free delivery Australia wide on every EcoSmart order. At 39.3 kg it's a two person lift. The 360° articulating feet level it on paving, decking or lawn without tools.

Fitting the Pod 30 in
The Pod 30 is 762 mm across, 351 mm tall, 39.3 kg; two people can lift it into position. Outdoors, allow 2,000 mm clear above the flame and 600 mm from fixed objects, on a level, non combustible surface. Indoors, you need a room of at least 116 m³, with the Indoor Safety Tray and AB8 Efficiency Ring fitted; the same clearances apply.
There's no gas line, plumbing or power to plan for. The 360° articulating feet adjust individually, keeping the bowl level on paving, decking or lawn, and being freestanding, you can reposition it as the season changes.

Yes. Bioethanol burns cleanly with no smoke, soot or ash, so the Pod 30 runs flueless indoors or outdoors. Indoor use needs a room of at least 116 cubic metres with the Indoor Safety Tray and AB8 Efficiency Ring fitted (EN 16647). No gas line or chimney required.
How much space does the Pod 30 heat?

How long does one fill of fuel last?
The AB8 holds 8 litres of e-NRG bioethanol. Full flame: 7 to 9 hours. Lower setting: up to 11 hours.
What does the Pod 30 cost to run per hour?
At full flame the AB8 uses about 1.1 L per hour. With e-NRG at $6.00 to $6.60 per litre delivered, that's around $7 per hour on full flame, $4 to $5 per hour on low.
Does the Pod 30 need professional installation or a gas connection?
No. The Pod 30 is freestanding with no gas, plumbing or electrical connection. Level it on the 360° articulating feet, fill the AB8 burner, light it. Reposition anytime. Outdoors: 2,000 mm clearance above, 600 mm from fixed objects, on a level non combustible base.
What is the difference between the Pod 30 and the Pod 40?

What is Fluid Concrete?
Fluid Concrete is EcoSmart's cast composite: green cement with 95% recycled natural materials. It absorbs CO2 during curing (carbon negative) and is 100% recyclable at end of life. Resists scratches, staining, mould and mildew, and stays lighter than solid concrete.
Does it come with fuel?
No. e-NRG bioethanol is sold separately, in 20 L cartons (four 5 L bottles). Add a carton to your order and we ship it with the pit. Delivery is free on all EcoSmart orders Australia wide.
