The Mix 850 is the wide bowl in EcoSmart's Mix line, 850 mm across but only 319 mm tall, so the flame sits low and reads across the whole seating circle rather than up out of a deep pot. It runs the same AB8 burner and 6 kW output as the Pod 40, just carried in a broader, shallower shape.
We put these on open patios, pool terraces and alfresco dining zones, anywhere wraparound bench or lounge seating pulls in close around the fire. Beside a dining table, the wide bowl gives a plate of fire a narrow pit simply can't.
It isn't the pick for a tight balcony or a small courtyard; at 850 mm across it wants real floor space. If your setting is smaller, the Mix 600 scales the same idea down to a 600 mm bowl that suits a two seater sofa or a bistro table, at a lower running cost too.
Fuel is e-NRG bioethanol, sold separately, so add a carton to your order and we'll ship it with the pit, with free delivery Australia wide on every EcoSmart order. At 47.6 kg it's a two person lift. The 360° articulating feet level it on paving, decking or slab without tools, so you can move it as the layout changes.

The Mix 850 is 850 mm across, 319 mm tall, on a 360 mm foot base. At 47.6 kg with burner and media, it's a two person lift. Allow 2,000 mm above the flame and 600 mm from fixed objects, on a level, non combustible surface.
There's no gas, plumbing or power to plan for. The articulating feet adjust individually so the bowl sits level on uneven paving, decking or slab, and being freestanding, you can move it as the layout changes.

Can the Mix 850 be used indoors?
EcoSmart classifies the Mix 850 for outdoor use. Bioethanol burns cleanly with no smoke, soot or flue. Indoor use requires a 40 m³ minimum room volume; call us on 1300 515 620 to confirm before you buy.
How much space does the Mix 850 heat?
The AB8 produces 6 kW (21.56 MJ/h) and warms about 60 m² outdoors. It's a supplemental heat source and focal point, not a primary heater.
How long does one fill of fuel last?
The AB8 holds 8 L of e-NRG. Full flame gives 7 to 9 hours; with the included Efficiency Ring, 9 to 11 hours.
What does the Mix 850 cost to run per hour?
The AB8 uses about 1.1 L per hour on full. At $6.00 to $6.60 per litre, that's around $7 per hour, dropping to $4 to $5 with the Efficiency Ring.
Does the Mix 850 need professional installation or a gas connection?
No. It's freestanding, no gas, plumbing or power. Level it on the 360° articulating feet, fill the AB8, light it. Move it any time. Allow 2,000 mm above and 600 mm from fixed objects on a level, non combustible base.
What is the difference between the Mix 850 and the Pod 30 or Pod 40?
All three share the AB8 burner, so heat and burn time match. Mix 850: 850 mm x 319 mm, 47.6 kg. Pod 30: 762 mm x 351 mm, 39.3 kg. Pod 40: 1,000 mm x 504 mm, 50.3 kg. Mix gives a broader, lower flame; Pods add height and come with the Indoor Safety Tray already paired.
What is Fluid Concrete?
EcoSmart's cast composite: green cement with 95% recycled natural materials. Absorbs CO2 during curing, so it's carbon negative, and 100% recyclable at end of life. Resists scratches, staining, mould and mildew. Lighter than solid concrete.
Does it come with fuel?
No. e-NRG is sold separately, in 20 L cartons of four 5 L bottles. Add a carton to your order and we ship it with the pit. Delivery is free on all EcoSmart orders Australia wide.
