AB8 Bioethanol Burner
The AB8 holds 8 litres of bioethanol and burns at 6 kW for 7 to 11 hours, heating an average of 60 m². A genuine heat source rather than just an ambient glow.
No Smoke, Anywhere You Place It
Bioethanol burns cleanly with no smoke or soot, so the Pod 40 can sit in the centre of the space and move indoors with adequate ventilation.
Available in Two Sizes
The Pod series comes in 30 (762 mm) and 40 (1,000 mm). The same rounded bowl form at a different scale. Mix sizes for fire features at two heights.
360° Levelling Feet
Adjust the articulating feet individually to level the Pod 40 on uneven paving, deck boards or grass before lighting. No tools required.

What finishes does the Pod 40 come in?
Three Fluid™ concrete finishes: Bone (warm off-white), Graphite (dark charcoal) and Natural (mid-tone grey). Each pairs with Stainless Steel or Black burner, giving six combinations total.
What is the difference between Pod 30 and Pod 40?
The Pod 30 is 762 mm across and 351 mm high (39.3 kg). The Pod 40 is 1,000 mm across and 504 mm high (50.3 kg). The Pod 40 has a stronger visual presence in larger spaces and stands noticeably taller. Both use the same AB8 burner with the same heat output and burn time.
Can the Pod 40 be used indoors?
Yes. Bioethanol burns cleanly with no smoke, soot or flue requirement. For indoor use, EcoSmart recommends a minimum room volume of 116 m³ for the AB8 burner. No gas line or chimney needed.
Is Fluid™ concrete sustainable?
Yes. Fluid™ concrete is made using green cement and 95% recycled natural materials. It absorbs CO₂ during curing, making it carbon negative. The composite is 100% recyclable at end of life.
How do the levelling feet work?
The 360° articulating feet adjust individually to compensate for uneven surfaces. Set them before filling the burner so the bowl is level and the flame burns evenly. No tools needed.
Does the Pod 40 need professional installation?
No. The Pod 40 is freestanding with no gas, plumbing or electrical connections. Adjust the levelling feet, fill the AB8 burner and light it. It can be repositioned at any time.
