The Pod 40 is the tall pot in EcoSmart's Pod line, a 1,000 mm round bowl in cast Fluid Concrete standing 504 mm high. It shares the same AB8 burner and 6 kW output as the Pod 30, so the extra scale is all about presence, not extra heat.
We put these under a pergola, on a covered deck, or beside a pool where the taller bowl needs to read as a genuine feature rather than disappear against the space around it. Bioethanol burns with no smoke, soot or ash, so it's rated for both outdoor and indoor use, indoors needing at least 116 m³ of room volume with the Indoor Safety Tray fitted.
If your space is smaller, a balcony or a compact courtyard, the Pod 30 carries the same AB8 heat in a shorter 762 mm body that suits a tighter footprint. And if a low, plate-like flame suits your setting better than a tall pot, the Mix 850 gives you that shape on a wider, shallower bowl.
Fuel is e-NRG bioethanol, sold separately, so add a carton to your order and we'll ship it with the pit, with free delivery Australia wide on every EcoSmart order. At 50.3 kg it's a two person lift or a job for a small trolley. The 360° articulating feet level it on paving, decking or lawn without tools.

Fitting the Pod 40 in
The Pod 40 is 1,000 mm across, 504 mm tall, 50.3 kg; two people or a small trolley can shift it. Outdoors, allow 2,000 mm clear above the flame and 600 mm from fixed objects, on a level, non combustible surface. Indoors, you need at least 116 m³ of room volume with the Indoor Safety Tray and included AB8 Efficiency Ring fitted; the same clearances apply.
There's no gas, plumbing or power to plan for. The 360° articulating feet adjust individually to level the bowl on uneven paving, decking or lawn, and being freestanding, you can reposition it any time.

Yes. Bioethanol burns clean, so it runs flueless indoors and out. Indoors needs a room of at least 116 m³ with the Indoor Safety Tray and included AB8 Efficiency Ring fitted, to meet EN 16647. No gas or chimney required.

What is Fluid Concrete?
EcoSmart's cast composite: green cement mixed with 95% recycled natural materials. Absorbs CO2 during curing (carbon negative) and is 100% recyclable at end of life. Resists scratches, staining, mould and mildew, and stays lighter than solid concrete.
Does it come with fuel?
No. e-NRG is sold separately, in 20 L cartons of four 5 L bottles. Add a carton and we ship it with the pit. Delivery is free on all EcoSmart orders Australia wide.
