One Mast, Multiple Canopies: Shade for the Whole Terrace
The Shadowspec Unity is a multi-canopy cantilever umbrella that shades two, three or four zones from a single ground installation. Available as Duo, Trio or Quattro in Square, and Duo in Octagon, each canopy arm tilts independently, suiting large alfresco dining areas, pool decks and hospitality spaces.

ShadowGlide™
A patented 9-wheel carriage tracks the mast to open or close each canopy in around 5 seconds, with an internal auto-lock at height.

Integrated into the mast with a security screw and 16 locking positions, so the umbrella rotates to follow the sun and stays exactly where you leave it.

Mounting Options
Every mount is 316 marine-grade stainless steel and sold separately as the Shadowspec Installation Base for Serenity and Unity. Wall Mount Bracket suits the Square Duo configuration only.

Duo, Trio and Quattro Configurations
The Duo mounts two canopy arms, the Trio three and the Quattro four, in Square at 5.0m or 6.0m per arm span, or Octagon Duo at 7.0m or 8.0m. All share the same mast and base compatibility.
Marine-Grade Frame, 316 Stainless Hardware
The structural frame is marine-grade aluminium with 316 stainless steel fasteners and pivot hardware, rated for saltwater exposure.
Solution-Dyed, UV-Stabilised Canopy
Colour pigment is integrated through the fibre rather than printed on the surface, holding depth under sustained UV exposure.
Handbuilt in New Zealand
Every Unity is assembled by hand in New Zealand to tighter structural tolerances, then fitted to your choice of base on site.

Does the Unity come with a base?
No, the Unity is sold separately from its base. Compatible mounts (Free Standing Base, In-Ground Anchor, Surface Plate, or Wall Mount Bracket for Square Duo) are listed as the Shadowspec Installation Base for Serenity and Unity.
Can the Unity be wall-mounted instead of using a floor base?
Only the Square Duo configuration is compatible with the Wall Mount Bracket, priced the same as the Free Standing Base. Trio, Quattro and Octagon Duo are not compatible with a wall mount and need a floor-standing mount instead.
What canopy colours are available?
Four stock colours are included at no extra cost. Ten further Shadowspec colours are available as a special order, priced per canopy so a Quattro costs more to upgrade than a Duo. What is ShadowLift, ShadowGlide and ShadowLock?
These are Shadowspec's patented mechanisms built into the Unity: ShadowLift is the gas-assisted lifting system, ShadowGlide is the 9-wheel carriage that opens or closes each canopy in seconds, and ShadowLock is the mast-mounted rotating, self-locking mechanism.
What is the difference between Duo, Trio and Quattro?
The Duo has two canopy arms, the Trio three and the Quattro four, all mounted to the same mast and base system. Square configurations come in 5.0m or 6.0m per-arm sizing; Duo is also available in Octagon at 7.0m or 8.0m.
Can each canopy arm tilt independently?
Yes, each arm on the Unity has independent tilt adjustment, so canopies can be angled to block low sun from different directions at different times of day.
Is the Unity suitable for coastal properties?
Yes, the Unity frame is marine-grade aluminium with 316 stainless steel hardware, both rated for coastal salt-air environments.
How long is the warranty?
The Unity carries a 6 year frame warranty and a 10 year fabric warranty for residential use. Wind damage, accidents and misuse are excluded, and surface rust on steel is not treated as a manufacturing defect.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell my house?
No, the Unity warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser. It is a back-to-base warranty, so return shipping is payable by the customer.
Is the Unity compatible with other Shadowspec accessories?
Yes, the Unity uses the same compatible bases as other Shadowspec cantilever umbrellas, sold separately as the Shadowspec Installation Base for Serenity and Unity. A Rain Gutter and the optional ShadowHub LED Light are also available for the Unity range.
