Which base type is right for my situation?
The Free Standing Base suits decks and paved areas where drilling is not possible. The In-Ground Anchor suits a permanent installation into soil. The Surface Plate suits existing concrete or pavers where a bolted fitting is appropriate. The Wall Mount Bracket suits narrow courtyards or balconies with no floor space to spare.
Does the Wall Mount Bracket fit every Unity configuration?
No. The Wall Mount Bracket fits every Serenity size, and the Unity Square Duo configuration only. It is not available for Unity Trio, Quattro or Octagon Duo; choose Free Standing Base, In-Ground Anchor or Surface Plate for those configurations.
Does the Free Standing Base need any groundwork?
No. It is ballasted with 12 paving stones at 400mm x 400mm x 40mm, customer supplied, and sits on the existing surface. No concrete, drilling or trades are required.
Can I add castor wheels to the Free Standing Base?
Yes. The Free Standing Base is compatible with Shadowspec stainless steel castor wheels, available separately through My Acre.
Is this compatible with umbrellas other than Serenity and Unity?
No. These bases are built specifically for the Serenity and Unity frame systems. Contact My Acre before ordering if you are unsure of your umbrella model.
Is the installation base covered by warranty?
Yes. Mounting options are included under the Serenity and Unity frame warranty, so choosing a base does not create a separate, shorter warranty term.
