Shadowspec SU4 Tilting Offset Umbrella
The offset cantilever arm keeps the full canopy footprint clear of furniture, and the manual tilt follows the sun through the day.

The owner's insights on the SU4
The SU4 is the umbrella we point budget-conscious buyers toward when they still want tilt and full rotation, not just a straight-up-and-down canopy. One lever swings it through 360° around the mast; a second pin tilts the canopy toward a low morning or evening sun without you touching the base.
It opens on a winding mechanism rather than a gas strut, so there's a bit more hand-cranking involved than the premium Serenity, and the fabric warranty runs five years instead of ten.
We've fitted these beside home pools and cafe courtyards where the mast needs to sit outside the table, not through the middle of it.
If you want the same tilt-and-rotate idea with a lighter touch and a longer warranty, step up to the Serenity; if you're covering a footpath table and don't need tilt at all, the simpler Oasis costs less again.
Why you'll love the SU4
Tilts and rotates, one lever each
Swing the canopy a full circle around the mast, then tilt it toward a low sun, without moving your base.
Mast stays out of the way
The offset arm keeps the pole outside your table, so the whole footprint underneath stays clear for seating.
Built for salt air and pool chlorine
Marine-grade aluminium and stainless steel components handle coastal and poolside conditions without rusting.
A lighter buy-in than Serenity
Get the same tilt-and-rotate idea at a lower entry price, with a simpler winding mechanism instead of a gas strut.

Sizing the SU4 for your space
The 3.0m square suits a 4 to 6-seat table with room to walk around; step up to the 3.5m octagon for a 6-seat table or a full lounge cluster. Allow roughly 4.0m by 4.0m of clear floor space around the mast on the smaller canopy, or 4.5m by 4.5m on the octagon, so it can rotate and tilt through its full arc without catching a wall or a planter. Closed, the canopy sits 483mm to 864mm proud of the mast, so factor that clearance into a tight courtyard too. See every cantilever umbrella side by side to compare sizes.
Special order colour
Tell us the colour you are after and we will match it, $890 per canopy from the full Sunbrella range. Send a photo or a colour code and we will work it out with you, then confirm before anything goes into production. Allow 8 to 10 weeks, against 7 to 10 days for a stock colour.
Printing your logo on the canopies is available on larger orders, where a minimum run applies. Send us your logo and how many umbrellas you need. We will come back with a price.
Frequently asked questions
Does the SU4 rotate and tilt?
Yes. Your offset arm rotates a full 360° around the mast, and the canopy tilts from level to near-vertical using a lever and tilt-adjust pin at handle height, both one-hand operations.
How large a space does the 3.0m square cover?
About 9 m², enough to shade a 4 to 6-seat dining setting. The 3.5m octagon covers ~9.5 m², suited to a larger table or lounge cluster.
What's the difference between the SU4 and the Serenity?
Both rotate 360° and tilt. Serenity is Shadowspec's premium tier, with a gas-strut ShadowLift lift and a 10-year fabric warranty. The SU4 uses a simpler winding mechanism and lever tilt with a 5-year fabric warranty, at a lower entry price.
Which base do I need?
Choose at purchase. Surface Plate suits paved or timber-decked patios. In-Ground Anchor is a set-and-forget install for lawns or new pavers. Free-Standing Base sits on any hard surface, ideal where you can't drill.
Can I replace the canopy?
Yes. Canopies are removable and replaceable, so you can refresh the fabric or change colour without buying a new umbrella.
Do the canopy colours come in custom options?
Four stock colours (Oyster, Alpine Stone, Charcoal Tweed, Black) are included in the price. For anything outside that range, ask us for a custom colour quote.
Is it waterproof?
Your 100% solution-dyed fabric is water-resistant and shrugs off passing showers. In heavy or prolonged rain, close and cover the umbrella; the marine-grade aluminium frame won't rust when it does get wet.
