Oase cast the Spillway Box in one piece, strong enough to carry heavy stones. The pond liner fixes to the back. You build rock over it until only the lip shows.

Work out which box and pump you need
Step one: how wide do you want the water to fall?

Stand where you will view the fall from and mark the width on the ground. That measurement is the whole first decision.
Step two: size the pump for the height, not only the width
- 1. Measure the vertical rise from the pond surface to the spillway lip, in metres. That is your head height.
- 2. Measure the length of hose from pump to box, then add roughly 10% of that length to the head as friction.
- 3. Pick a pump from the matched range above that still delivers its flow at that head. Pump curves drop off sharply with height.
- 4. If the pump is at the bottom of its range and the fall is high, go up one model rather than accept a trickle.
Step three: check the build sequence suits your site
- The liner fixes to the back of the box, so the liner has to reach that high.
- The box is single cast and carries heavy stone, so plan the rock that hides it before you set the level.
- Only the lip should show when the rock is built over it.
- The 35000 includes an adapter from 3 inch NPT to 2 inch external thread.

What to measure before you decide
- Width of the fall you want, in millimetres.
- Vertical height from the pond surface to the lip, in metres.
- Hose run from the pump position to the box, in metres.
- The pump you own, or plan to buy, with its flow at that head.
- Whether the liner can reach the back of the box at that height.
