What to measure before you decide
- Pond surface area in square metres, length times width.
- How the filter is fed: a pump in the pond, a gravity line, or nothing.
- Your pump flow in litres per hour, which is printed on the pump or its box.
- How far the water level moves between a wet week and a dry month.
- What overhangs the pond. Heavy leaf fall is the reason to fit one at all.

Why add a skimmer?
Leaves and pollen that sink to the bottom rot into sludge and feed algae. A skimmer catches them on the surface, in a basket that is easy to empty.
Which skimmer suits my pond?
If a pump in the pond feeds your filter, choose AquaSkim 40. If the pond drains to a gravity filter through DN 110 pipe, choose AquaSkim Gravity. For a pond with no plumbing to join, SwimSkim 25 floats with its own pump.
What pump does AquaSkim 40 need?

What if the water level drops?
AquaSkim 40 and Gravity handle a change of up to 120 mm. SwimSkim 25 floats, so it follows the water level in any pond at least 40 cm deep.
How do I empty it?
Lift out the basket and tip it onto the compost. On AquaSkim, grip hooks let you reach the basket from the pond edge.
What does the warranty cover?
