An aerator is the cheapest insurance a fish pond can have. Warm water holds less oxygen. On a still summer night, fish can run short. AquaOxy pushes air through stones on the pond floor so the water keeps a steady supply.
The 500 and 1000 suit garden ponds up to 10 m³ and come ready with air stones and hoses. The 1000 runs on 12 V power with adjustable air flow. The 2500 and 5000 are the koi models, sized for ponds up to 50 m³ in a splash-proof metal housing.
A waterfall adds oxygen at the surface, but it rarely reaches the bottom of a deep pond. Air rising from the floor lifts water to the surface, where it picks up oxygen.

Work out which size you need
Step one: find your pond volume
- 1. Length times width times average depth, in metres, gives cubic metres.
- 2. One cubic metre is 1,000 litres.
- 3. If you keep koi, or the pond is heavily stocked, use the next size up rather than the exact match.

Step three: work out where the pump will live
- The pump sits beside the pond, out of the water, under cover from direct rain where you can.
- Air line runs from there to stones on the pond floor. The 500 and 1000 come with 5 m of hose per outlet.
- If the run is longer than 5 m, say so when you order so the hose is sorted at the same time.
- All four models are rated for outdoor use, so a dry shelf is preference rather than a requirement.
