AB8 Burner, Grade 304 Stainless Steel
The AB8 bioethanol burner is built from Grade 304 stainless steel, with an optional black ceramic coating. It holds 8 litres and runs 7 to 9 hours per fill at full flame, covering most of an evening.
Eight Finish Combinations
Choose three Fluid Concrete finishes (Bone, Graphite, Natural) or natural Teak, each paired with a Stainless Steel or Black burner surround, for eight combinations that read as furniture rather than a heater.
Levels on Any Surface
360° articulating feet level the table on uneven paving, decking or lawn without tools, so the surface sits true and the flame stays even wherever it is placed.
Tempered Glass Media, Rated to 700°C
Black Glass Charcoal media is tempered and rated to 700°C, framing the flame across the burner and giving the fire its considered, sculptural look.

Can the Fire Base 40 be used indoors?
Yes. e-NRG bioethanol burns without smoke, soot or ash, so the Base 40 is rated for both indoor and outdoor use. For indoor operation, fit the Indoor Safety Tray and the included AB8 Efficiency Ring, and keep the room to at least 116 m³ with adequate ventilation.
How much space does the Base 40 heat?
The AB8 burner produces about 6 kW (21.56 MJ/h) and heats up to 60 m² on average. It is designed as supplemental and zone heating and a focal point, not primary whole-home heat.
Does the Base 40 need professional installation?
No. The table is freestanding, self-contained and portable, with no gas line, flue or plumbing. Position it, fit the burner, fill with bioethanol and light it. The 360° articulating feet level it on uneven surfaces without tools.
What does the Base 40 cost to run per hour?
At full flame the AB8 uses 1.1 litres per hour. With e-NRG at $6.00 to $6.60 per litre delivered, that is about $6.60 to $7.30 per hour, dropping to roughly $3.30 to $5.10 per hour on a lower setting.
