Can the Mojito 40 be used indoors?
Yes. Bioethanol burns cleanly with no smoke, soot or ash, so no flue is needed and the Mojito 40 is rated for indoor or outdoor use. Indoor use requires the Indoor Safety Tray and a minimum room size of 116 m³ with adequate ventilation. Keep a smoke alarm and extinguisher nearby.
How much space does the Mojito 40 heat?
On average up to 60 m². Its 6 kW (21.56 MJ/h) output makes it a strong focal point and zone heater for a lounge, courtyard or covered terrace. It is supplemental warmth, not the primary heat source for a whole home.
What does the Mojito 40 cost to run?
At full flame the AB8 uses about 1.1 litres per hour. At the current e-NRG landed price of $6.00 to $6.60 per litre delivered, that is about $7 per hour. A lower flame setting cuts that by 30 to 50 per cent, to roughly $3.30 to $5.10 per hour.
Does the Mojito 40 need professional installation?
No. It is freestanding and self-contained, with no gas connection, flue or fixed fitting. Place it on a level, non-combustible base, level it with the articulating feet, fill the AB8 and light it. Never refuel while the burner is running or hot; allow at least 60 minutes to cool.
Which fire screens and covers fit the Mojito 40?
The Mojito 40 accepts a recessed square screen (sold as the S22 Fire Screen) and a raised round screen (R400), which steady the flame in wind. There is also the ST40 All-Season Cover and an AB8 Silicone Burner Cover, while the S22 Cover Plate turns the burner opening into a flat coffee-table surface.
