Dual-Burner Linear Bioethanol Fire Pit Kit for Large Outdoor Dining and Entertaining
The EcoSmart Linear 90 Fire Pit Kit is a 2,287 mm built-in bioethanol fire tray powered by two XL900 burners for a combined 8.9 kW. Available in Stainless Steel or Black, Indoor or Outdoor specification, it runs a continuous linear flame for 8 to 13 hours per 18 litre fill. No gas, no flue, no trade required.
Perfect For
Why You’ll Love This
Two Burners, 8.9 kW Combined
Two XL900 burners run the length of the 2,287 mm tray. The combined 8.9 kW output is more than double the single-burner Linear 50 and 65. At this output the Linear 90 heats a large outdoor seating area, not just the immediate table.
18 Litres, 8 to 13 Hours
The two XL900 burners together hold 18 litres of bioethanol. At a lower flame setting that extends to 13 hours, which covers a long restaurant service or a full evening event without a refill interruption.
Indoor and Outdoor Specifications
Choose Indoor or Outdoor at purchase. The Indoor variant meets the clearance requirements for enclosed rooms. Both variants use the same tray dimensions and dual XL900 burners.
No Gas Line, No Trade Required
Fill the XL900 burners with denatured bioethanol, light them and the flame holds for up to 13 hours. No gas connection and no flue, so the kit can be installed anywhere the surround can be built.

Features

Dual XL900 Burners
Two XL900 burners are housed in the tray end to end. They operate independently, so both can run simultaneously for full output or either can run alone for a shorter flame at lower heat. Each holds 9 litres and produces 4.4 kW.
Stainless Steel or Black Burner
Both burner finishes use the same XL900 mechanism. Brushed Stainless reads cleanly with light stone and natural timber; matte Black suits dark surrounds and charcoal-toned surfaces.
Mild Steel Tray and Toughened Glass
The tray is mild steel with a high-temperature coating, with toughened glass panels. Both materials are suited to continuous outdoor exposure in Australian conditions.
58.1 kg Built-In Weight
At 58.1 kg the Linear 90 requires a surround structure capable of bearing the weight of the tray plus the custom surface material. This is standard for concrete, stone or steel structures and should be planned for in timber designs.

Part of the Linear Series
The Linear series runs from 50 (1,196 mm, 1 burner) to 65 (1,630 mm, 1 burner), 90 (2,287 mm, 2 burners) and 130 (3,375 mm, 3 burners). The 90 is the mid-large format, suited to 10 to 12 seat settings.
Black Glass Fire Media Included
Black glass fire media is supplied with the kit. It frames the flame at tray level so the fire appears to rise from the surface rather than from the burner housings.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Linear 90 differ from the Linear 50 and 65?
The Linear 90 is 2,287 mm long and uses two XL900 burners for a combined 8.9 kW. The Linear 50 (1,196 mm) and Linear 65 (1,630 mm) each use one XL900 at 4.4 kW. The 90 is for larger surfaces and settings where more heat output is needed.
Can both burners run independently?
Yes. Each XL900 burner operates independently. Both can run simultaneously for the full 8.9 kW and full-length flame. Either burner can also run alone for half the heat output and a shorter flame, which extends fuel duration and reduces heat on cooler evenings.
Does the Linear 90 need to be built into a surface?
Yes. The Linear 90 is a built-in kit that drops into a cut-out in a custom surface. It is not freestanding. The opening dimensions need to match the tray's external footprint of 2,287 mm x 431 mm. The surround structure must support the tray's 58.1 kg weight.
What is the difference between Indoor and Outdoor variants?
The Indoor variant is rated for enclosed rooms and must meet the minimum room volume requirements specified in the installation manual. The Outdoor variant is for open or semi-covered settings. Both use the same tray and dual XL900 burners. Select the correct variant for the installation environment.
Is the Linear 90 suitable for commercial settings?
Yes. The Linear 90 is used in restaurant terraces, rooftop bars and event venues where a built-in fire feature needs to run for a full evening service. At 18 litres total capacity, both burners running at lower output sustain the flame for a full 13-hour service period on a single fill.
What materials can the surround be made from?
Concrete, natural stone, porcelain, powder-coated steel and hardwood all work with the Linear 90. The EcoSmart clearances guide specifies the minimum setback from combustible and non-combustible materials. Given the tray weight, the surround structure should be designed to support 58.1 kg before the surrounding material is factored in.
