Curved Linear Bioethanol Fire Pit Kit for Outdoor Dining Tables and Benches
The EcoSmart Linear 65 Fire Pit Kit is a 1,630 mm built-in bioethanol fire tray with curved metal end pieces that soften its profile. Available in Stainless Steel or Black, Indoor or Outdoor specification, the XL900 burner produces a continuous linear flame at 4.4 kW for 8 to 13 hours per fill. No gas, no flue, no trade required.
Perfect For
Why You’ll Love This
Curved Ends for a Softer Profile
Where the Linear 50 and 90 use straight rectangular ends, the 65 features a curved metal tray at each end. The curve softens the transition from fire tray to surrounding surface and gives the flame a more organic, less industrial profile.
1,630 mm Flame Run
At 1,630 mm the Linear 65 is 434 mm longer than the Linear 50. That length suits an eight-seat dining table comfortably as a centre fire feature, with flame visible from all sides of the table.
Indoor and Outdoor Specifications
Select Indoor or Outdoor at purchase. The Indoor variant meets the clearance requirements for enclosed rooms; the Outdoor variant suits open or semi-covered alfresco settings. Both use the same tray and XL900 burner.
No Gas Line, No Trade Required
Fill the XL900 with denatured bioethanol, light it and the flame holds for 8 to 13 hours. No gas connection and no flue, so the kit can be installed wherever the surround can be built.

Features

XL900 Burner Across the Full Length
The XL900 is EcoSmart's flagship burner for linear fire pit kits. It holds 9 litres of bioethanol and produces 4.4 kW of heat across the full tray length, giving a flame ribbon that runs edge to edge without hot spots.
Black Glass Fire Media Included
Black glass fire media is supplied with the kit. It frames the flame at tray level so the fire appears to rise from the surface rather than from a visible burner housing.
Mild Steel Tray and Toughened Glass
The tray body is mild steel with a high-temperature coating; the glass panels are toughened for continuous outdoor exposure. Both hold their finish in sun, rain and salt air without visible deterioration.
Stainless Steel or Black Burner
Both finishes use the same XL900 burner mechanism. Brushed Stainless suits light-toned surrounds and natural stone; matte Black disappears into dark surrounds and charcoal-toned fire media.

Part of the Linear Series
The Linear series runs from 50 (1,196 mm) to 65 (1,630 mm), 90 (2,287 mm, 2 burners) and 130 (3,375 mm, 3 burners). The 65's curved ends distinguish it visually from the straight-edged models.
Heats the Immediate Setting
At 4.4 kW the Linear 65 provides warmth for seating immediately around the surface. It is a dining-table fire feature, not a space heater for a large terrace. For larger areas, the Linear 90 or 130 add burners and output.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the Linear 65 different from the Linear 50?
Two differences: length and end design. The Linear 65 is 1,630 mm long (434 mm longer than the Linear 50's 1,196 mm) and features curved metal end pieces that soften its profile where it meets the surrounding surface. Both use a single XL900 burner at 4.4 kW.
Does the Linear 65 need to be built into a surface?
Yes. The Linear 65 is a built-in kit that drops into a cut-out in a custom table, bench top, counter or landscape element. It is not freestanding. The opening dimensions need to match the tray's external footprint of 1,630 mm x 451 mm.
What is the difference between the Indoor and Outdoor variants?
The Indoor variant is rated for enclosed rooms and must meet the minimum room volume requirements in the installation manual. The Outdoor variant is for open or semi-open settings. Both use the same tray and XL900 burner. Select the variant that matches the environment at installation.
How long does the Linear 65 burn on a single fill?
The XL900 holds 9 litres of denatured bioethanol and burns for 8 to 13 hours at 4.4 kW. Actual burn time depends on the flame height setting. A full evening of dining comfortably fits within a single fill.
What materials can the surround be made from?
Concrete, natural stone, porcelain, powder-coated steel and hardwood surrounds all work with the Linear 65. Combustible materials such as timber require the minimum clearances in the EcoSmart clearances guide. Non-combustible materials such as concrete and stone allow reduced setback.
Can I use a different colour glass media in the tray?
Yes. The black glass rocks supplied can be swapped for other EcoSmart fire media including white glass, natural glass or a mix. Media colour affects the contrast of the flame against the tray base and the visual weight of the feature at rest.
