Built-In Linear Bioethanol Fire Pit Kit for Outdoor Tables and Bench Tops
The EcoSmart Linear 50 Fire Pit Kit is a 1,196 mm built-in bioethanol fire tray for a custom outdoor table, kitchen island or counter. Available in Stainless Steel or Black, Indoor or Outdoor specification, it produces a continuous linear flame at 4.4 kW for 8 to 13 hours per fill. No gas, no flue, no trade required.
Perfect For
Why You’ll Love This
A Continuous Flame Across 1,196 mm
The XL900 burner produces a single continuous flame running the full length of the tray. From above or across the table it reads as a fire ribbon, not a point source, which changes how the entire space feels.
Indoor and Outdoor Specifications
Choose Indoor or Outdoor at purchase. The Indoor variant meets the clearance requirements for enclosed rooms; the Outdoor variant is rated for open or semi-covered settings. Both share the same tray dimensions and XL900 burner.
No Gas Line, No Trade Required
Fill the XL900 with denatured bioethanol, light it and the flame holds for 8 to 13 hours. No gas connection, no flue and no plumber, so the kit can be installed anywhere the surround can be built.
Black Glass Fire Media Included
The tray is supplied with black glass fire media. The rocks frame the flame at a low level so the fire appears to rise from the surface rather than from a visible burner housing.

Features

Stainless Steel or Black Burner
Both finishes use the same XL900 burner mechanism. Brushed Stainless suits light-toned surrounds and natural stone; matte Black disappears into dark surrounds and charcoal-toned fire media.
Mild Steel Tray and Toughened Glass
The tray is mild steel with a high-temperature coating; the glass panels are toughened for outdoor exposure. Both materials are designed to hold their finish in outdoor conditions without degrading.
XL900 Burner at 4.4 kW
The XL900 holds 9 litres of denatured bioethanol and burns at 4.4 kW for 8 to 13 hours. The output provides warmth for the immediate seating around the table rather than heating a large open space.
Designed for Custom Surrounds
The tray drops into an opening cut to match its external dimensions. It works with concrete, stone, porcelain, steel and hardwood surrounds. The clearances guide details the required setback from combustible materials.

Available in Four Sizes
The Linear series runs from 50 (1,196 mm, 1 burner) to 65 (1,630 mm, 1 burner), 90 (2,287 mm, 2 burners) and 130 (3,375 mm, 3 burners). Match the tray length to the table or surface it will sit in.
8 to 13 Hours Per Fill
Nine litres of bioethanol gives 8 to 13 hours of continuous flame. For a long dinner or a full evening on the terrace, one fill is enough without any interruption to the gathering.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Linear 50 need to be built into a surface?
Yes. The Linear 50 is a built-in kit: the tray drops into a cut-out in a custom structure such as a dining table, bench top, kitchen island or entertainment counter. It is not freestanding. The required opening dimensions match the tray's external footprint of 1,196 mm x 431 mm.
What is the difference between the Indoor and Outdoor variants?
The Indoor variant is rated for enclosed rooms and must meet the minimum room volume requirements specified in the installation manual. The Outdoor variant is rated for open or semi-open outdoor use. Both share the same tray dimensions and XL900 burner. Select the correct variant for the environment the kit will be installed in.
What materials can the surround be made from?
The Linear 50 works with concrete, stone, porcelain, steel and hardwood surrounds. Combustible materials such as treated timber require the minimum clearances specified in the EcoSmart clearances and installation guide. Non-combustible materials such as concrete and natural stone require less setback.
How long does the Linear 50 burn on a single fill?
The XL900 burner holds 9 litres of denatured bioethanol and burns at 4.4 kW for 8 to 13 hours. Burn time varies with the flame height setting; at maximum flame the burn time is shorter, at a lower setting it extends toward the 13-hour end.
What sizes does the Linear Fire Pit Kit come in?
Four sizes: Linear 50 (1,196 mm, 1 burner, 4.4 kW), Linear 65 (1,630 mm, 1 burner, 4.4 kW), Linear 90 (2,287 mm, 2 burners, 8.9 kW) and Linear 130 (3,375 mm, 3 burners, 13.2 kW). Longer kits suit larger surfaces and provide greater heat output.
Can the glass fire media be changed to another colour?
Yes. The black glass rocks supplied with the kit can be replaced with other EcoSmart fire media options including white and natural glass. The media choice affects the visual contrast of the flame against the tray base.
