The AB8 delivers 6 kW outdoors from an 8 L tank, running 7 to 9 hours per fill, enough to hold a small conversation zone without the fumes or flue of gas. Fit the Indoor Safety Tray and the included AB8 Efficiency Ring and it can go indoors too, though the ring drops output to about 3.8 kW.
If your surround is round rather than square, the Round 20 uses the same AB8 platform in the shape that will actually sit flush in a circular cutout. And if you need a long ribbon of flame across a bench or wall rather than a compact pit, step across to the Linear 50.
Worth being upfront about: this is a burner kit, not a finished fire pit. The concrete or masonry surround is your build or your landscaper's, and the bioethanol fuel is sold separately.

Fitting the Square 22 in
The kit measures 623 mm square across the housing; the cutout itself follows the installation manual, so confirm the aperture with us before you set out. At around 16.9 kg, one person can set it in place. There's no gas, plumbing or electrical work involved. Outdoors, leave 1,000 mm clear above the burner of combustible materials. Indoors, fit the Indoor Safety Tray and the included AB8 Efficiency Ring in a room of at least 116 m³ with ventilation; the ring is required for EN 16647 compliance and drops output to about 3.8 kW.

No. It is a drop-in burner kit for a fire pit surround that you or your landscaper build. You get the burner, safety housing, media and lighting tools.
What kind of surround can I use?
Any non-combustible material: cast concrete, masonry, tile-clad steel or corten. Leave the aperture given in the installation manual with 1,000 mm clear above of any combustibles.
How long does one fill last?
The AB8 holds 8 L and runs 7 to 9 hours per fill at about 0.9 to 1.1 L per hour on full flame. A lower flame stretches it further.
Can I install it indoors?
Yes. Bioethanol burns cleanly, so with the Indoor Safety Tray and the included AB8 Efficiency Ring fitted, the Square 22 is rated for indoor use in a room of at least 116 m³ with ventilation. The ring drops output to about 3.8 kW and extends the burn time to 9 to 11 hours.
Does it need gas, power or a flue?
None. Self-contained bioethanol. Fill the burner, light with the Lighting Rod, that's the whole install.
Which fire screen and cover plate fit it?
