The Solstice is the umbrella we'd point to first for a couple wanting one cantilever to do everything: shade a pool by day, then swing over the outdoor table by evening. Most cantilevers in this price range only tilt one way. The Solstice tilts both vertically and horizontally on top of its full 360° rotation, so you're adjusting the canopy to the sun's actual angle rather than just its direction.
We tend to place these where the shade job changes through the day: a deck that catches morning sun on one side and afternoon sun on the other, or a pool where the canopy needs to lean low against a western glare rather than just spin overhead.
Both a bolt-down plate and a cross-bar ballast frame come with every Solstice, so you're not locked into a permanent footing if you're not ready to commit one. If you'd rather move the umbrella around the garden as the season shifts, the optional wheeled base turns it into something you wheel rather than plant.

What's the difference between the 350cm Octagonal and 300cm Square?
Shape and coverage area. The 350cm Octagonal suits a round or larger dining setting, while the 300cm Square suits a rectangular table or a tighter footprint. Both share the same frame, mechanism and colour range.
Can I choose Taupe Stripe on a Gunmetal frame?
No. Taupe Stripe is only offered on the White frame; every other colour is available on both White and Gunmetal.
What wind rating does the Solstice carry?
40km/h. Like any cantilever umbrella, always close the canopy in breezy or unattended conditions; wind damage isn't covered by warranty.
Do I need to buy a base separately?
No. A bolt-down plate and a cross-bar ballast frame are both included. If you'd rather have it portable on wheels, the wheeled resin base is available as an optional extra.
