The owner's insights on the Schmick 233L
The Schmick 233L is a low-height, front-venting twin-door bar fridge holding 264 cans. Front venting means the vent grille sits on the face of the fridge rather than the sides, so it slides into a cabinet or under-bench cavity without needing side airflow. At just 800 mm tall, it also fits cavities the taller models can't reach into.
We fit these into under-bench cavities with limited height that still need real capacity across two doors. They also suit hospitality venues and home bars that want classy bar handles and a mirror-finish interior. Choose stainless or black, with interior lighting that switches between white and blue at the push of a button.
It's the lowest-height model in the range, built specifically for cavities under 810 mm tall. If your cavity has more headroom, the 257L and 274L are built in taller cabinets with more overall volume; talk to us if you're not sure which height your space needs.
At 43 dB it runs about as quiet as a library, well under the volume of normal conversation, which matters more once it's built into cabinetry near where people are sitting.
Why you'll love the Schmick 233L
264 Cans, Low-Height Design
Front venting means the fridge slides into a cabinet or under-bench cavity with minimal side clearance, at just 800mm tall for tighter under-bench cavities.
Cools to 0°C Past 38°C Ambient
The compressor and heated glass hold 0°C in ambient heat past 38°C, backed by a Schmick ECO controller and quiet-running Schmick fans.
Front-Venting for Built-In Installs
The vent grille sits on the front face rather than the sides, so it can be framed into cabinetry with minimal clearance instead of standing exposed.
Stainless or Black Finish
Choose a black cabinet, or an all-stainless finish for $190 more, both with a mirror-finish polished stainless interior.
Classy Bar Handles, Self-Closing Doors
Long bar handles and self-closing, lockable doors give a considered look with real security for a shared space.
Mirror-Finish Interior, Switchable LED
A polished mirror stainless interior sits behind the cabinet finish of your choice, lit by switchable white or blue LED strips.
Why you should consider a Schmick fridge

Frequently asked questions
Can this fridge go outside?
It's rated for indoor use and covered, enclosed outdoor areas out of direct sun, not open-air exposure. No glass door bar fridge is designed to sit in direct sunlight.
Stainless or black?
Black is $1,797 and stainless is $1,987, both with the same mirror-finish polished stainless interior and switchable LED lighting.
What does front venting mean?
The vent grille sits on the front face rather than the sides, so the fridge can be framed into cabinetry with only 10mm side clearance instead of standing exposed with open sides.
How many cans does it hold?
264 standard 375 mL cans across 4 shelves with over 50 height adjustments.
How loud is it running?
43 dB, about as quiet as a library and well below normal conversation (60 dB).
What's the warranty and who handles a claim?
2 years parts and labour. My Acre manages the claim directly so buyers aren't left chasing an overseas supplier.
What size opening do I need if I'm building it into cabinetry?
The fridge itself is 895W x 575D x 800H mm. Build the cavity to at least 915W x 625D x 810H mm to allow clearance and airflow, or leave it freestanding with no surrounding cabinetry at all.
