The owner's insights on the FVR100 Gas
This is the FVR100 with Valoriani's gas burner fitted, sold as one product at one price. You are not buying an oven and then working out the gas separately. The burner goes in at the factory, so nothing is cut or drilled at your place.
Cotto clay cooking floor, the same refractory build Valoriani have made in Tuscany since 1946. It arrives as a modular kit: crown and floor components, high temperature mortar, ceramic insulation, the metal manifold, front arch, a 900mm stainless flue, rain hat and metal door. It is assembled on site, then rendered. Cement render, chicken wire and the installation itself are not in the price.
The honest trade is the same as it always is. Wood puts smoke into the food. Gas gives you a weeknight. If the oven only earns its place by being easy to start, this is the version that gets used.
Going gas, in three steps
1. Buy it with the burner fitted
One product, one price, $5249. Valoriani fit the burner before it ships. Natural gas or LPG, specified on your order.
2. A gasfitter connects it
An oven this size is a Type B gas appliance in Australia, so the connection needs a gasfitter who holds a Type B endorsement. Not a general plumber. Certification is separate to the oven price.
3. We help you sort it
Tell us your postcode and whether the property runs natural gas or LPG. We will line up the right fitter and get the certification quoted, so you are not chasing it.

Call todayWhat the gas burner is
A cast iron burner nozzle on a three way pilot, a thermocouple, piezo ignition and a Minisit controller with a thermostat probe reading the chamber. It runs off a regulator and a ball valve. The diagrams in the gallery are Valoriani's own, so you can hand them straight to your gasfitter.
It suits naturally ventilated ovens. If a build uses mechanical or fan assisted ventilation, a pressure switch and shut off valve are required, which your fitter will specify.

What is in the price, and what is not
- In the price: the FVR100 with the gas burner fitted, flue, rain hat and door.
- Not in the price: the gas connection, the Type B certification, cement render, chicken wire and on site assembly, and any gas run to the oven. Your gasfitter quotes these for your property. We can organise the fitter.
Frequently asked questions
Can my plumber install it?
No. A gas oven of this size is a Type B appliance, which means the work has to be done by a gasfitter holding a Type B endorsement. That is a specific ticket. Ring us and we will find you one.
Why is certification separate?
Because it is work done at your property by your fitter, and what it involves changes from state to state. We would rather quote it properly for your address than put a number on the page that turns out to be wrong.
Natural gas or LPG?
Either. Tell us which your property runs when you order and Valoriani set the burner for it before it ships.
Can it still burn wood?
The Valoriani lighting instructions refer to the gas flame and the wood fire together, so it is built to do both. Confirm your intended use with us on your order and we will get it in writing from Valoriani.
How long does delivery take?
About three weeks, shipped direct from Italy. Pickup is available from our Melbourne warehouse, or we deliver Australia wide.
