The owner's insights on the JC190-GG
The Schmick JC190-GG is built around two independently controlled zones rather than one shared compartment: each side runs anywhere from 1°C to 18°C, with a minimum 8°C gap enforced between them, so a typical setup runs beer at 2°C and wine at 12-18°C without either side compromising for the other. It's built in 304 stainless steel throughout, body and grille, and holds a genuine 80 cans and 29 wine bottles across shelving you can rearrange between three flat chromed shelves and slide-out saddle wine racks.
We fit these under 800mm-high benches in front-venting cabinetry, or leave them freestanding, for entertainers who want beer and wine held at genuinely different temperatures rather than a single compromise setting. A built-in heater on the wine zone lifts it back to its set point if the room runs cold, so reds don't overchill through winter.
If you don't need two separate temperature zones, the Twin-Door 190L runs one temperature throughout for $1,707, several hundred dollars less. If capacity matters more than dual-zone control, the 399L 3-Door holds nearly double at $2,697, though it's a single zone as well.
It's rated for indoor use or a covered outdoor spot out of direct sun, to 32°C ambient; that's lower than the standard SK-series' 38°C rating, because the dual-zone system trades some raw heat tolerance for precise independent control. Leave 10mm clear at the top and each side and 50mm at the rear for airflow.
Why you'll love the JC190-GG
Two zones, one fridge
Each zone is independently set from 1°C to 18°C (minimum 8°C apart), so beer sits at 2°C and wine at 12-18°C without compromise.
80 cans and 29 wine bottles
Shelving mixes and matches between 3 flat chromed shelves and slide-out saddle wine racks, holding 5 standard Bordeaux bottles per shelf.
Built-in heater for cool rooms
A built-in heater lifts the wine zone back to its set temperature if the room drops below it, so reds never overchill.
304 stainless steel throughout
Body and grille are 304 stainless steel, built for a genuine entertaining setup rather than a budget under-bench unit.
Switchable heated glass
Triple-glazed LOW E glass with a heated-glass switch stops condensation in humid conditions, and switches off to save energy when it isn't needed.
Noctua quiet inner fans
Genuine Noctua fans keep circulation even and running quiet at 44 dB, backed by a Meanwell transformer and Jiaxipera compressor.
Why you should consider a Schmick fridge
Schmick builds the JC190-GG in 304 stainless steel, runs it on an ozone-safe R600 refrigerant, and rates it at 8 stars under MEPS energy standards, with genuine Noctua fans built in for quieter running than most under-bench units. Buy yours through My Acre and we'll beat any genuine like-for-like price you find elsewhere. If a warranty question ever comes up, you're calling us directly, not an overseas call centre.

Frequently asked questions
Can this fridge go outside?
It's rated for indoor use and covered, enclosed outdoor areas out of direct sun, up to 32°C ambient. This is a lower heat rating than the standard SK-series (38°C), since the dual-zone system prioritises precise temperature control over raw heat tolerance.
How different can the two zones be set?
Each zone runs from 1°C to 18°C, but there must be at least an 8°C gap between them. Beer at 2°C and wine at 12-18°C is the typical setup.
Does it come in black?
No. The JC190-GG is made only in 304 stainless steel.
How many wine bottles fit per shelf?
5 standard Bordeaux bottles (76-78mm) per saddle shelf. Wider bottles fit the top or bottom shelf only.
Can I run it as all-beer or all-wine instead of mixed?
Yes. Shelving is interchangeable between flat chromed shelves and saddle wine racks, so either zone can be set up for cans, bottles, or a mix.
How loud is it running?
44 dB, thanks to genuine Noctua fans, though slightly higher than the single-zone SK range given the two independent cooling systems.
What's the warranty and who handles a claim?
2 years parts and labour. My Acre manages the claim directly so buyers aren't left chasing an overseas supplier.
