The Ochre Living Rain Cap is the terminal chimney cap for the Hotham, Ossa and Perisher fireplace kits. It sits at the top of the chimney to keep weather out of the flue while still allowing the fire to draw cleanly.
Perfect for
Outdoor installs where the chimney is exposed to rain, sea spray or coastal weather. Concrete-cast in the same finish as the parent kit, so the cap finishes the line of the chimney rather than sitting on it as an afterthought.

Common questions
Do I need a rain cap if my chimney is under cover?
If the chimney is fully under cover and rain cannot reach the opening, a cap is optional. For open installs we recommend either the Rain Cap or the Top Cap, depending on the look you want.
Will it affect how the fire draws?
No. The Rain Cap is designed to shed weather while leaving clear path for the flue to draw under fire.
Rain Cap or Top Cap, which one suits my install?
The Rain Cap is the protective option. The Top Cap is the lower-profile finishing piece. Many installs use one or the other; call us if you would like a recommendation against your site.
Is it suited to coastal sites?
Yes. The materials are selected for outdoor and coastal exposure, in line with the rest of the Ochre Living range.
