The owner's insights on the SAM Cover
The reason you'd add this on: an open brazier collects everything that falls on it. The SAM's own lid keeps the worst out, though rain still finds the plancha ring and the ash tray. This cover goes over the whole piece and keeps the cooking surfaces dry. Cut for the SAM's 53 by 60 by 60 cm shape, in stretch polyurethane sewn in Saint-Etienne, fully waterproof but breathable so moisture vents rather than sitting against the metal. Fits the SAM only.

Frequently asked questions
The SAM already comes with a lid. Why a cover?
The lid closes the fire bowl and turns the brazier into a table. The cover goes over the whole piece, including the plancha ring around the rim, which the lid does not reach.
Will it fit the MARCEL?
No. This cover is cut for the SAM's lower, wider shape. The MARCEL has its own fitted cover.
Can I leave the SAM out without it?
Yes. The tank, walls and feet are cast aluminium and do not rust. The cover is about keeping the cooking surfaces clean rather than protecting the metal.
