What "compliant" actually covers

Certification is only one of three conditions, not the whole answer. The appliance itself needs to meet the ACCC mandate. Installation needs to match the manufacturer's published clearance and minimum room volume figures. Fuel needs to be stored within the dangerous goods rules that apply to any flammable liquid.
